Hand-pulled ink on paper fine art screen-print - made exclusively at Edinburgh Printmakers

This unique work uses screen printed layers of saturated and translucent shapes to explore the weight and shifting mood of colour - echoed by elements of our urban & natural spaces.  The shapes were inspired from a series of sea pebbles and individual paper stencils were made to form each layer. Also, collecting a series of found or displaced materials to expose directly to the screen, the work captures an interplay between a suggestion of three-dimensional form creating tension with blocks of colour and diaphanous shapes. There was a real sense of joy and discovery with the making of this new body of work.
