Hand-pulled multi-layered ink on paper fine art screen-print - made exclusively at Edinburgh Printmakers.

Drawn to the inconsequential, insignificant details in the crossover spaces between our urban and natural environments, my work encourages us to pause and take note of the small things, in the places that surround and shape us. Collecting a series of found or displaced materials to expose directly to the screen, the works capture an interplay between a suggestion of three-dimensional form creating tension with blocks and layers of colour.  The subtle surface captured in the background was an old vintage threadbare silk scarf that was carefully inked and passed through the press to create a ghostly impression. Along with a piece of plastic netting found in a puddle in Princes Street Gardens and exposed directly to the screen, printed in neon yellow here.

There was a real sense of curiosity and experimentation with my approach to this body of work.
