A happy printer
I am always relaxed and in a good place whenever I print at Edinburgh Printmakers….
Wishing all of my lovely followers and new subscribers, a spring welcome to my latest story post…..I have exciting news to share with you……..I won’t keep you long, just a few pics and a spot of info to keep you in the loop………
A new print waiting to be framed…..
I have been printing round the clock, shoe horning pockets of time around my current full time teaching. I have been enjoying evening sessions on Thursdays, as well as Saturday afternoons at Edinburgh Printmakers, to create a body of work for a new joint exhibition at the Upright Gallery in Bruntsfield, Edinburgh. It is a wonderful light filled space on Barclay Terrace, facing the green openness of Bruntsfield Links. The exhibition kicks off with a private view on the evening of Friday 12th of April from 6 - 8 pm and the show runs until Friday 3rd of May. Follow button below….
Dolly and me having fun…
I will be sharing the space with the stunning porcelain work of local ceramicist Hazel frost. I am really curious about how our disciplines will work together for the show.
The inspiration for my latest body of work…
Sea pebbles
Collected whilst on holiday in Italy, I was curious about the shapes, fissures and the smoothness built over time…as well as a new exploration of colour
Detail from one of my largest prints to date, using a half-tone element too…..
My Instagram posts highlight processes and new works in the making….@kimminuti
