So it’s the second half of the half term break and so far I have braved going into London, visiting both the National Gallery & my fave The British Museum today.
Ooooh and we also made 2 fabric stockings for our new house recruits, our gorgeous kittens Luna & Ochre. I think that is pretty good going by Wed eve to be honest with you……….it also means that I didn’t manage our Nature Walk for this weeks post, so I will shunt to next week and show a few more studio shots for today.
I know how vital it is to have good quality photographs of work and process for using on the website as well as publishing via other means, like Open Studio marketing material and memberships etc.
Once a set of prints are finished ( for me this can be swift or not, depending on how many times I go back to something & work into it!) then it is time for a photography session & clearing a big space and setting up the 2 scarily bright lamps and a specially adapted piece of blacked out wooden shelving to rest the prints on between takes! There has been quite a lot of trial and error, but its always a very engaging and illuminating time! I will photograph the photography set up soon for you, once it is all systems go again.
So, as you can see from the pics, I just prepped my space and set to doing a few prints whilst being photographed and trying to ignore the camera!
So folks, lets don our wellies and pull our scarves a bit tighter and head out into this glorious autumn to see out this October in all its finery……try to gather some things whilst out and about & breathe deep - a nature walk can be just the ticket!
